I believe it is important to look at oneself in the context of their current situation while evaluating past familial and social factors that helped shape them. I utilize my knowledge from many theories including those in Attachment and Interpersonal Neurobiology to provide a framework as to how to view current stressors and struggles. I help the client attend to the current stressors and work to alleviate those symptoms while creating a space to reflect on patterns that have shaped them. Together we will carefully find the necessary approach so that you can live a life characterized by connection and attunement to yourself and those that you love.
As a Gottman Trained therapist, I utilize these practices which creates space to reconnect and repair old hurts and restore love, connection and attunement to one another. I am currently Level II trained in the Gottman Method which allows me the knowledge to assist couples in reducing conflict and areas of disconnect and working towards harmony and safety with one another.
Building a strong attuned connection with our children is critical to the healthy functioning of the family. I understand the stressors and demands in raising children and I am passionate about offering support, guidance, and education to parents motivated to having better relationships with their children. By providing mindful interventions and guidance to parents, I can assist in easily transforming your home into a peaceful, connected environment.
As an EMDR Certified Therapist, I use this model to facilitate healing and to assist in integrating troubling and traumatic events and memories.
